(Your Friend, Mentor & Motivator)

Hello Friends and Future Officers,

I am Chirag Bhoraniya. I have secured Indian Information Service in Civil Services Exam (UPSC) 2016. I had my graduation in dentistry from Ahmedabad. I, fortunately, cleared GPSC twice, 2014 and 2016.

I write to you because in last few days I have received hundreds of calls and messages inquiring about expected cut off and mains preparation.
  • What should be expected cut off? 90/100/130?
  • What do I do if I don’t clear this exam?
  • How will I face my family, Friends and society?
  • Having Good score, Now From where to start for Mains?
  • What to read (Specially) for Ethics, Pub.Ad. and Essay?
  • What about Answer writing practice and paper checking?

For those who couldn’t make up to expected cut off,

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life And THAT IS WHY I SUCCEED.
~ Michael Jorden

Failure tends to be more public than success. We try to avoid it, and we question ourselves every time we fail. But the simple truth is – No great success was ever achieved without failure. It may be one epic failure. Or a series of failures – such as Edison’s 10,000 attempts to create a light bulb or Dyson’s 5,126 attempts to invent a bag less vacuum cleaner. But, whether we like it or not, Failure is a necessary stepping stone to achieving our dreams.

No human ever became great by not failing. The more you fail and recover and improve, the better you are as a person. Ever meet someone who’s always had everything work out for them with zero struggle?

Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.
~Robert F. Kennedy

And Last, A Short Story:
A guy gave UPSC attempts for 3 years and couldn’t qualify in the Preliminary examination, left for USA and pursued his masters, joined a job and eventually grew to become the company’s CEO. He’s well known to us, he is Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, who has reached heights where no civil servant has reached, who’s appointment is most awaited even by top most dignitaries of the country.

Here is my story, Same like most of UPSC/GPSC aspirants. I am a common average guy like all of you. Struggling with English, Economics, Interview phobia, Lack of speaking skills, Financial problems, Done odd jobs with Reading, Mummy papa’s struggle, No Money for coaching institutes or buying books/material, failed four times, struggled almost five years. Inspite of all these obstacles, I never ever doubt on myself.
My mantra was simple:
Patience and Perseverance.

“ येफू ल मुझेकोई िवरासत मेिमलेहै?
तुमनेमेरा काँटो-भरा िबसर नही देखा ’’
